Cel Namh Pipe Band is based out of the area of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. The band maintains the goal of fielding a pipe and drum band which can compete at a world-class level. The band promotes the culture of traditional Scottish music through regular competition, performance, parading, and student-based education. To achieve our educational goals, we operate schools of piping and drumming to educate people interested in joining the band.  These sessions are in group and are free of charge.  Band practice and educational sessions start at 630PM on Wednesdays at the Benchmark Construction warehouse on the corner of Oregon Pike and Zooks Mill Road in Brownstown, PA 17508.  If interested in joining or just stopping by please Contact Us.

Cel Namh Pipe Band was founded in 1998 by Thompson McConnell. The Band proudly wears the McConnell tartan.

Cel Namh translates to "Heavenly Music" from Scots Gaelic. Pronunciation Sample

Cel Namh Pipe Band, as of 2012, competes in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA) at the Grade 4 level. Below are our results from the past 4 years.

2010: Cel Namh Pipe Band ranked # 3 out of 117 bands in Grade 5
2011: Cel Namh Pipe Band ranked # 1 out of 112 bands in Grade 5
2012: Cel Namh Pipe Band ranked # 5 out of 61 bands in Grade 4
2013: Cel Namh Pipe Band ranked # 9 out of 47 bands in Grade 4
